Lion’s mane mushroom also known as Hericium Erinaceus is edible and belongs to the group of tooth fungi. It is used for culinary and medical purposes in east Asian countries like China, India, Japan, and Korea. It can be distinguished from other mushrooms by its long spines and it grows on trunks of dead hardwood trees such as oak. It can be enjoyed raw, cooked, dried, or used as tea powder.
